Soldier with Wayne ties dies in land mine
explosion WOOSTER
- The family of a former Wooster man who died on Monday in Iraq will remember him as a man
with a kind soul and generous heart.
Lance Cpl. Joshua Torrence, 20, died when the tank he was riding in struck a land mine
during night patrol.
He was actually out on night patrol and he was sitting right above the tracks in the
tank, said his aunt, Ranee Yoder of Kidron. The tracks ran over a land mine.
Joshua was the only one in the tank who was killed.
