GySgt. Javier Obleas-Prado Pena

12-1-04 Marine Gunnery Sgt. Javier Obleas-Prado Pena, 36, of Falls Church, died in a German military hospital from injuries suffered in hostile fire Nov. 25 in the Al Anbar Province.

The decorated Marine, who also served in Desert Storm, was nearing retirement, according to news reports.

He was assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force stationed out of Camp Lejeune, N.C.
