CLEVELAND (AP) -- Family members and friends are mourning a Cleveland Marine killed in Iraq.

Nearly 100 people gathered yesterday for the funeral of Lance Corporal Robert Eckfield Junior, who died last month from an explosion in Iraq.

Eckfield’s girlfriend, Beth Dunkle, says he had a premonition that he would die about two weeks before the explosion.

He was assigned to the Second Battalion, Sixth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division, Second Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

About 60 family members plan to make the trip to Arlington National Cemetery, where Eckfield will be buried Tuesday.
