CORPS STORIES
Ordinary Marines. Extraordinary Lives.

Noteworthy Books  (Audio Interview with Author June 2009)

A Must Read for everyone in the Marine family:

Once A Marine  By GySgt Nick Popaditch, USMC (ret.) (with Mike Steere)

Meriwether:

Tom Moore and I were at Tank Battalion in 29 Palms.

We were introduced to Popaditch. He had returned from

Iraq and was awaiting medical retirement due to his

wounds -- he was damned near blind.  He told us of the

action he was involved in.

I immediately made the judgment that he was the consummate

Marine; One hell of a leader, and one who dearly loved the Marine

Corps. He had been put in for a Silver Star which he later got.

I wish I had known him better.  I wish I could have served with him.
